He was born Jose Miguel Banis Chua on August 8, 2004, and began his career in show business at the age of five after being discovered in a theater production. He first gained recognition as a host on the long-running children's program Tropang Potchi and through his role in the television series Munting Heredera.
In 2016, Cuaderno was cast as the voice of Keita Amano, the protagonist of the Yo-kai Watch anime series, which aired on GMA Network. While Cuaderno's anime voice roles are a part of his career, he is more extensively known for his work in live-action television and film. He has appeared in numerous GMA Network dramas such as Poor Señorita, Destiny Rose, and Prima Donnas. His performances in independent films have garnered significant critical acclaim, including winning the Best Actor award at the Chéries-Chéris Film Festival in Paris for his role in the 2013 film Quick Change. He also made history as the first child actor to win the Balanghai Trophy for Best Supporting Actor at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival for his role in Children's Show.
