Kenneth Hartman is an American voice actor known for his work in English-language dubs of animated features and television series during the late 1980s and 1990s. He is perhaps best recognized for providing the voice of the young boy Kanta in the Streamline Pictures English dub of the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro. This version of the film was initially produced in 1988 for use on international flights before receiving a home video release.
In addition to his role in My Neighbor Totoro, Hartman contributed voices to several other animated projects. His credits include providing additional voices for the live-action comedy film Problem Child in 1990. He also voiced the character Dylan in an episode of the Nickelodeon series Aaahh!!! Real Monsters in 1994. That same year, he voiced the character Max Hampton in the video Adventures in Odyssey: Star Quest. His filmography also includes voice roles in religious and animated productions, such as the pilgrim boy in Bernadette: The Princess of Lourdes and Francisco in The Day the Sun Danced: The True Story of Fatima, both from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some of his early credits list him under the alternative name Kenney Hartman. Beyond voice acting, Hartman also worked in other areas of film production, with credits as an ADR artist for the film Now and Then in 1995.
