Julie Kliewer, also known professionally by her birth name Julie Maddalena, is an American voice actress recognized for her extensive work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime, as well as Western animated series and video games. She was born Julia Lynn Maddalena on June 26, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio. Her career in entertainment began in live action, with her debut role being Rachel in the 1984 film adaptation of Children of the Corn. She transitioned to voice acting, a field in which she has remained active since the 1990s. In many of her credits, including her role as Pinoko in the 1996 anime Black Jack, she is listed under her married name, Julie Kliewer.
