Ryo Aduchi
Description
Ryo Aduchi is a Japanese manga artist and creator, born in 1977 in Sapporo, Hokkaido. His professional career began to take shape in the early 2000s, when he was a finalist for a magazine award in 2003 and subsequently won a scenario category prize in 2004. Following this recognition, he gained experience as an assistant to Tsubasa Fukuchi, the creator of The Law of Ueki. In 2007, he received a best newcomer award from Monthly Comic Blade Neo. Aduchi is the original creator behind the manga and anime series Softenni. The Softenni manga was serialized in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine from 2008 to 2011 and was compiled into eight volumes. The story, which blends comedy and sports, follows the members of a middle school soft tennis club. The creator’s personal interest in soft tennis is noted as one of his hobbies, alongside video gaming and watching soccer. Softenni was adapted into a 12-episode anime television series by the studio Xebec, which aired in Japan from April to June 2011. In addition to Softenni, Aduchi is also known for the manga series Team Butler, which began in 2016.
