Phil Hyde

Description
Phil Hyde is an American voice actor known for his work in English dubs of Japanese anime series, particularly for Sentai Filmworks. His most prominent and documented role is providing the English voice for the character Sanosuke Harada in the animated adaptations of the popular Hakuoki franchise.

He first voiced the character in the 2013 film Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom: Wild Dance of Kyoto. He subsequently reprised the role for its sequel, Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom: Warrior Spirit of the Blue Sky, released in 2014. These two films are part of the larger Hakuoki series, which is based on a visual novel and follows the historical Shinsengumi military police force intertwined with supernatural elements.

His casting as Sanosuke Harada for the English dub represented a change in the role's voice actor from previous Hakuoki installments. In both films, he voiced the character opposite a cast that included Andrew Love as Toshizo Hijikata and Blake Shepard as Souji Okita. His performances were part of ADR productions directed by Christopher Ayres for Sentai Filmworks. Based on available records, his credited voice acting work is specifically associated with these two Hakuoki feature films.
