Kiernan Shipka is an American actress who has contributed her voice to several animated projects, particularly within the anime and animation genres. Her involvement in voice acting began in the early 2010s, running concurrently with her prominent live-action acting career.

One of Shipka's earliest and most significant voice roles was providing the voice of Jinora in the acclaimed Nickelodeon animated series The Legend of Korra. She voiced the character, who is the eldest grandchild of Avatar Aang, for the series' entire run from 2012 to 2014, appearing in over 20 episodes. Her performance as Jinora earned her a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role in 2013.

In 2014, Shipka took on the role of the titular character Marnie in the English-language dub of the Studio Ghibli animated film When Marnie Was There. Directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, the film is an adaptation of the British children's novel and features an English voice cast that also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Kathy Bates, and Geena Davis. Shipka's involvement placed her within a prestigious project from the renowned Japanese animation studio.

Beyond these key roles, Shipka's voice acting credits include the character Oona in the Disney Junior series Sofia the First. She has also lent her voice to the video game medium, portraying Jessica Drew, also known as Spider-Woman, in the 2016 mobile game Marvel Avengers Academy.
