Hikari Shiina, also known by her former stage name Pikarin Shiina, is a Japanese model, singer, and voice actress born on November 18, 1994, in Chiba Prefecture. Her career began in 2009 when she debuted as a model for gyaru (gal) fashion magazines such as Ranzuki and later became an exclusive model for Popteen from 2010 to 2016. She gained attention for blending gyaru fashion with otaku culture, often incorporating cosplay and anime themes into her public persona.
In 2012, Shiina launched her music career under the name Pikarin Shiina, branding herself as an idol from the "Demon World" (魔界) and releasing her debut single "Shinryaku Pikarin Densetsu" through Avex Trax. Her musical style combines elements of heavy metal, idol pop, and visual kei, and she is known for incorporating death vocals and headbanging into her live performances.
Her voice acting credits include the role of Ronya in the 2013 short anime film Donyatsu (どーにゃつ), an adaptation of the manga about cat-like creatures in a post-apocalyptic world. Her second single, "Toro Amachu," was used as the theme song for this work. In 2015, she voiced a character in the short doll animation series MILPOM★.
