Kanako Kotera is a Japanese voice actor and singer born on June 19th in Osaka, Japan. Her early artistic training began at the age of three, when she started attending a music school where she studied piano and drums. Following her graduation from music school, she initially worked at a commercial production company as a singer and voice actor before expanding her professional activities to Tokyo.

Kotera is primarily recognized for her close association with the game company Nihon Falcom. She gained prominence as the vocalist for Falcom's jdk Band, contributing her voice to numerous songs for their role-playing game series, particularly The Legend of Heroes and Ys franchises. Her extensive discography includes performing theme songs and vocal tracks for games such as The Legend of Heroes: Sora no Kiseki (Trails in the Sky), The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki, Ys Seven, and Ys I & II Chronicles.

As a voice actor, one of her documented roles is Misshii in the short-form anime series Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen, which celebrated Falcom's 30th anniversary. She also reprised this role for the sequel series, Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen SC.
