Yuu Kahara is a Japanese voice actor from Chiba Prefecture, born on February 19. She is affiliated with a blood type of A and stands 156 cm tall. Her nickname is Yuucha. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Tokyo School of Anime and then became affiliated with the talent agency RAMS. Following the closure of RAMS in 2013, she moved to the agency SPELL BOUND. Since April 2016, she has worked as a freelancer.

Kahara made her debut as a voice actor in 2013 when she was cast as Emily Stewart in the social card game The Idolm@ster Million Live!. This role is considered her debut and her most representative character. Her other notable voice roles from this early period include the character Nohohon in the television anime series Pic-lele ~Mezase! Ukulele Picnic in Hawaii~, Meat-boy in Ganbare! Odenkun, and characters in the series NUKKO and Nar Doma. She also voiced roles in several video games, such as Alicia Catherine in Kadenz fermata//Akkord:fortissimo and大山咲 in the game Shin-gun Destroy!.

Kahara's career is strongly defined by her long-term involvement with The Idolm@ster franchise, where she continues to voice Emily Stewart in related anime and game projects, including The Idolm@ster Million Live!
