Description
Orie Kimoto is a Japanese actress and voice actress from Tokyo, born on January 26, 1979. Her birth name is Naoko Yabuta, and she also previously used the stage name Nao Hoshino. The stage name "Orie Kimoto" was given to her by Kaneta Kimotsuki, the head of the theater group 21st Century FOX. She is currently represented by the agency Gokū.
Kimoto's career began in live theater, with her stage debut in November 2002 at the 21st Century FOX 51st Performance "Moonlight and Organ". While continuing her stage work, she made her voice acting debut in 2004 with a role in the film Inuyasha the Movie: Fire on the Mystic Island. A significant milestone in her voice acting career came in 2006 when she was cast in her first leading role as Saki Hyuuga, the protagonist of the anime series Futari wa Precure Splash Star. In this series, she voiced both the character's civilian form and her alter egos, Cure Bloom and later Cure Bright. While the Precure franchise is a central part of her filmography, Kimoto has also voiced a variety of other characters. She has also had guest roles in long-running series such as D.Gray-man, Doraemon, Detective Conan, and Crayon Shin-chan. In addition to anime, she has contributed her voice to video games, with roles in Tokyo Afterschool Summoners and LIVE A HERO.
Despite her success in voice acting, Kimoto has maintained a strong focus on live stage performance throughout her career. She has also participated in various music and live performance events related to her roles, particularly within the Precure franchise.
In her personal life, Orie Kimoto is married to manga author Riichiro Inagaki, who is known for creating works such as Dr. Stone. The couple has three children.
