Yolanda Portillo
Description
Yolanda Portillo is a Spanish voice actor and singer known for her work in dubbing anime series and films for the Spanish market. Born in Herencia, Ciudad Real, in late 1972 and based in Madrid, she began her career as a singer, winning the award for best vocal interpreter at the Villa de Madrid festival in 1996. She transitioned into dubbing in 2015.
Portillo has been a regular member of the dubbing studio SDI Media Iberia since approximately 2017, through which she has voiced characters for numerous Netflix and HBO productions. Her anime voice roles for the Spanish dub include Aphrodite in Record of Ragnarok, Cynthia Moore in Great Pretender, and Mayuko Nise in High-Rise Invasion. Other notable anime credits span various series and films. She provided voices in Baki, Children of the Whales, Pacific Rim: The Black, and Ultramarine Magmell. Her work within the Pokémon franchise is extensive, including roles as Nurse Joy, Mayle, and Yeardley in the Pokémon Sun & Moon and Pokémon Journeys animated series, as well as voicing characters in the films Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle, and the web series Pokémon: Paldean Winds. She has also contributed to the Spanish dubs of Beyblade Burst Sparking.
Beyond anime, Portillo's voice can be heard in numerous major international productions, including live-action films like Aladdin, Mary Poppins Returns, and several installments of the Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises, as well as animated features such as Frozen II, Incredibles 2, and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Concurrently with her dubbing career, Portillo maintains an active career as a singer and composer, having released albums including Eterna Lluvia in 2006 and Llora in 2020.
