Yukie Nakama

Description
Yukie Nakama is a Japanese entertainer whose primary career has been as a highly successful actress, model, and singer. Her work as a voice actor represents a smaller, though notable, facet of her broader career in the entertainment industry. She was born on October 30, 1979, in Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan.

While she is widely known for her leading roles in numerous live-action television dramas and films, such as the popular Gokusen series and the horror film Ring 0: Birthday, Nakama has also contributed her voice to a limited number of animated projects.

One of her early voice acting roles was as Mutsuki Asahina in the 1997 anime television series Haunted Junction. In this series, she voiced one of the three members of the Holy Student Council, a master of exorcism tasked with protecting the school from supernatural beings. Her involvement with the project also extended to performing the series' opening theme song, Kokoro ni Watashi ga Futari Iru, and its ending theme, Tremolo, highlighting her concurrent career as a singer.

Years later, Nakama took on a voice role in the 2014 animated film Giovanni's Island. In this historical drama, she provided the voice for Sawako, a kind schoolteacher on the island of Shikotan in the aftermath of World War II. Her performance as Sawako was noted for covering a wide range of emotions. The film's cast also included veteran actor Tatsuya Nakadai.

In addition to her anime voice work, Nakama has also contributed her singing talent to video games, performing the opening and ending theme songs for the 1998 game Mega Man X4.
