Michael Haigney is an American voice actor, voice director, and writer, best known for his extensive work on the English-language adaptation of the Pokémon anime for 4Kids Entertainment. He was the original voice director for the series from its first season through the third season and also served as a script adapter for the first four seasons and movies, playing a significant role in introducing the franchise to Western audiences. In addition to his production roles, Haigney provided the voices for dozens of Pokémon characters, particularly in the early years of the show. Initially, he filled in for uncast Pokémon roles under the alias Roger Kay, not anticipating that some of these characters would become long-standing series regulars. Among the many Pokémon he voiced are Ash's Charmander and Snorlax, Misty's Psyduck, and James's Koffing and Weezing. His work also extended to Pokémon specials and movies, where he voiced characters such as Magby, Geodude, and Psyduck in various Pikachu shorts.

Beyond Pokémon, Haigney's career in anime production and voice acting includes credits on other major series adapted by 4Kids Entertainment. He served as a producer and script adapter for Sonic X and Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, and as a director for the English dubs of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and Arc-V. He was also a producer and writer for the animated series Chaotic. His voice work in video games is extensive, primarily reprising his Pokémon roles in titles such as the Super Smash Bros. series, Pokémon Puzzle League, and Pokémon Channel. In 2022, Haigney launched a podcast titled Original Pokéman, in which he shares behind-the-scenes stories and memories from his time working on the Pokémon anime.
