Born in Venezuela to Colombian parents, he moved to the United States and attended high school in Lubbock, Texas, before studying at the Goodman School of Drama. He spent twenty-five years working as an actor before transitioning to a new career as a psychotherapist, earning a master's degree and establishing a private practice in California.

Beron's voice is often described as having a low but strident range, well-suited for characters with a passionate or intense disposition. His career is marked by a high volume of voice work in video games, often providing additional voices and for specific characters. He is most recognized for his long-standing role as the warrior Ma Chao in the Dynasty Warriors series, a character he voiced across multiple installments from Dynasty Warriors 5 through Dynasty Warriors 8. He also provided the voice for Yukimura Sanada in Samurai Warriors and its expansion. Other notable video game credits include Liu Bei in Kessen II and Miguel Sanchez in Dead Rising.

In animation, Beron voiced the title character Wilbur in the direct-to-video film Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure. In the realm of anime dubbing, he is credited with the role of an American soldier in the OVA The Cockpit.

His work in the Onimusha series specifically includes voicing the protagonist Soki in the English version of the 2006 video game Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. This performance is part of his broader pattern of contributing English voices for characters in Japanese video game franchises. Beyond his acting, Beron also has credits in production and engineering roles on various anime projects, including Kiki's Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke.
