Kanako Nomura
Description
Kanako Nomura is a Japanese voice actress born on December 25, 1989, in Tokyo, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Rush Style. Her interest in becoming a voice actor was sparked during childhood by the anime Moomin, and her decision was solidified after watching the 2001 series Fruits Basket. On her twentieth birthday in 2009, she was scouted by the agency SPACE CRAFT, an event she likened to receiving a birthday present.
Nomura began her professional career in 2012, taking on minor roles in several television anime series such as Gun Girls, Kokoro Connect, and Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!. Her first major recurring role came in 2013 when she was cast as Yuno Kashima in the series Danbōru Senki WARS (also known as Cardfight!! Vanguard or in this context, specifically Danbōru Senki WARS). That same year, she also began voicing the character Chizuru Nikaido in the long-running social simulation game The Idolmaster Million Live!, a role that would become one of her most prominent and enduring performances. In 2014, she appeared in the theatrical film adaptation Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace, reprising her television role as Shōko Kobayashimaru from the Bodacious Space Pirates series.
In September 2016, Nomura announced her marriage on her official blog. She departed from SPACE CRAFT at the end of September 2018 and worked as a freelancer before joining her current agency, Rush Style, in 2019. In April 2021, she announced the birth of her first child.
Throughout her career, Nomura has built a strong association with The Idolmaster franchise, providing the voice for Chizuru Nikaido across multiple game releases, including the mobile game The Idolmaster Million Live! Theater Days, as well as numerous character song CDs and live concert events. This role has been a central part of her professional activities. Beyond anime and games, her work includes audio dramas, voiceovers for commercial products, and narration. Her personal interests include walking and spending time with her pet cat.
