Yasu Tora

Description
Yasu Tora is the creator of the four-panel manga Cyclops Shōjo Saipū, which was adapted into an original net animation series in 2013. Information on Yasu Tora is often consolidated under the name Yasu, a Japanese illustrator born on August 3, 1984 in Tokushima Prefecture. As a freelance illustrator, Yasu has been active in the industry since at least 2007.

Yasu is widely recognized for the illustrations in the light novel series Toradora! by Yuyuko Takemiya, which was published in ten volumes between 2006 and 2009 and later adapted into a twenty-five episode anime television series. In addition to light novels, Yasu has worked extensively in manga. He provided the art for the comedy manga Joshiraku, written by Koji Kumeta, which received an anime adaptation in 2012. Yasu also contributed the original character designs for the manga Mangirl! by Kagari Tamaoka, which was adapted into a television anime in 2013.

Beyond illustration and character design, Yasu has collaborated as a manga artist on original projects. With writer Coolkyoushinja, Yasu created the manga Diotima Manual: Kamisama-tachi no Ren'ai Daikō, a slapstick romantic comedy that began serialization in 2017. These varied projects demonstrate a career built on translating popular light novel and manga properties into visual form, with several of those illustrated works subsequently becoming successful anime productions.
