Ikue Sakakibara is a Japanese actress, singer, and former pop idol who has worked extensively in live-action television and film, as well as on stage. Her involvement in anime voice acting is limited, with her most recognized role in the medium being from the early 1980s. She was born on May 8, 1959, in Kawasaki, Japan.
Sakakibara began her entertainment career as a popular J-Pop artist and idol, achieving a run of top-ten songs. During this period, she took on the voice role of Teak, the devoted companion to the protagonist in the 1981 Sanrio fantasy film The Sea Prince and the Fire Child, also known as Syrius no Densetsu.
