Ikue Sakakibara is a Japanese actress, singer, and former pop idol who has worked extensively in live-action television and film, as well as on stage. Her involvement in anime voice acting is limited, with her most recognized role in the medium being from the early 1980s. She was born on May 8, 1959, in Kawasaki, Japan.

Sakakibara began her entertainment career as a popular J-Pop artist and idol, achieving a run of top-ten songs. During this period, she took on the voice role of Teak, the devoted companion to the protagonist in the 1981 Sanrio fantasy film The Sea Prince and the Fire Child, also known as Syrius no Densetsu. This performance is noted as her sole credited involvement in anime for many years.

Following her voice role in The Sea Prince and the Fire Child, Sakakibara launched a successful and long-running career as a live stage actress. She became nationally known for her performances in the title role of a Japanese adaptation of Peter Pan, a stage play that remained popular and continued for over twenty years.
