Julie Rei Goldstein

Description
Julie Rei Goldstein is an American voice actor known for her work in anime dubbing and video games. She began her path to voice acting after discovering a passion for anime through a student club. Originally a Molecular Biology student, she experienced a career-changing epiphany and graduated from San Jose State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts. During her time at university, she worked to combine her love for Japanese stories with performance, winning the 2005 Kaucher-Mitchell Excellence in Storytelling competition with a piece based on the manga Monster.

Her entry into the professional anime industry was catalyzed by winning the AX Idol 2005 voice acting competition. This victory led to her first role in the booth as Risa Nagase in Paradise Kiss, a series she was already a fan of. Following this debut, she secured her first major roles as the villainous Precia Testarossa in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's and as Biris in Tweeny Witches. An example of her work can be found in the series Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor, where she voiced the character Chuutatsu Shibai.

Beyond anime, Goldstein has lent her voice to various other media. Her video game credits include the Xbox 360 title Magna Carta 2, Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel, and Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Her work also extends to animation, such as providing additional voices for the second season of The Legend of Vox Machina, and live-action television, with guest roles in series like S.W.A.T., The OA, and American Horror Story.
