Akane Kasuga is a Japanese mangaka and original creator known for her work on the anime and manga series Miracle! Mimika. She hails from Amagasaki in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and her blood type is O. Kasuga is credited as the original creator and character designer for the Miracle! Mimika television anime, which was produced by the studio Digital Media Lab and aired 225 episodes on NHK from April 2006 to March 2009. The series follows Himeno Mimika, a girl from a family of chefs, as she attends the Miracle Academy cooking school. For the manga adaptation of Miracle! Mimika, Kasuga provided both the story and art for the first eight chapters. Her other known manga works include Dare ni mo Himitsu Koimonogatari, for which she is credited with story and art on a chapter titled Tomodachi Shikkaku!!, and Dokidoki Shisugi no Koimonogatari, credited under the story Yokujō Control.
