Momoko Ishikawa
Description
Momoko Ishikawa is a former Japanese voice actress born on July 16, 1981, in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. She was affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise throughout her career, which spanned from her debut in 2007 until her retirement from the voice acting industry in September 2021. Her debut role was as Haruko Mikogami in the 2007 anime series Sky Girls.
Ishikawa was known for her ability to use the Kansai dialect in her voice work, a skill she often showcased. One of her most recognized roles was as香椎奈奈子 (Nanako Kashii) in the popular 2008 anime series Tiger × Dragon!. She also voicedビーコ (Bīko), a student, in the Zero no Tsukaima (The Familiar of Zero) franchise, appearing in both the 2008 season and the final 2012 season, Zero no Tsukaima F. Other notable anime roles include六条沙羅 (Sarara Rokujō) in乃木坂春香の秘密 (Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) in 2009 and大纲苹果 (Ringo Ōzuna) in輪回のラグランジェ (Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne) in 2012. In the 2010 series无法挣脱的背叛 (Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru, or The Betrayal Knows My Name), she voiced the character Sodom. She also contributed her voice to the special NIGHT OF THE WEREHOG, playing the role of the Ghost girl.
Ishikawa's work extended beyond anime into video games and the dubbing of foreign films and television dramas. Her video game roles include香椎奈奈子 (Nanako Kashii) in TIGER×DRAGON PORTABLE! and鷹司あいか (Aika Takatsukasa) in Memories Off: Sorekara Again. Her foreign dubbing credits include the long-running medical drama ER.
While she often played gentle or straightforward characters, Ishikawa gained a reputation among her peers for having a mischievous or "dark" sense of humor. This was particularly noted during her time as a guest on the Tiger × Dragon! radio program, とらドラジオ! (Toradora Radio!), which was her first experience hosting a radio show. Her co-stars, Junji Majima and Eri Kitamura, frequently commented on the contrast between her角色 and her own personality. Fellow voice actress Ayane Sakura, also from the same agency, affectionately referred to her as "桃子姐姐" (Momoko onee-sama). Ishikawa's career concluded in 2021 when she announced her departure from both her agency and the voice acting profession.
