Description
Tomoe Oumi is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on October 13, 1982, in Saitama Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Kitty. Oumi began her career after training at the Japan Narration Acting Institute and RAMS Professional Education. Her debut as a voice actress came in 2004 with the role of Madoka Kido in the television anime series School Rumble.
Oumi has built a career with a variety of roles in anime, video games, and audio dramas. Her notable anime roles include Sarah Revant in SoltyRei, One in Ray the Animation, Chihaya Takemura in Strawberry Panic!, and Juju Sasaki in Sketchbook full color's. In web anime, she played the role of Hikari Tōjō in the 2009 series Ontama!. Her work in video games includes voicing Sayaka in Shining Force Feather and Nogami in the Grisaia: Phantom Trigger game series and its anime adaptation. Beyond anime, her voice can be heard in Japanese dubs of foreign productions, such as the role of Shinki in Johnny Bravo.
Alongside her voice acting, Oumi has had an active career as a singer. She won the Animelomix Audition hosted by singer Masami Okui, which led to her debut single, Utakata, produced by Okui in 2005. Many of her subsequent singles were used as theme songs for anime and games, including Float: Sora no Kanata de for SoltyRei, Yuunagi for Ray the Animation, and Beloved for the PlayStation Portable game Ōnaru Aproachi 2. She has also contributed vocals to songs with other artists. Notably, she performed Maze as a featured artist with the group savage genius for the anime Pandora Hearts. Her music was released under the evolution label, and she released a best album titled Happy Days in 2009.
In 2014, she formed a musical unit called AFIVE with Kensuke Harada. Expanding her performance repertoire, she also became a member of the Tokyo High-beam theater company in 2017, taking on roles in various stage productions.
