Hiroki Tanaka

Hiroki Tanaka is a Japanese voice actor and actor born on January 11, 1983, in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the theatre company Bungakuza, having entered its training institute in 2003 and become an official company member in 2008. He began his career in the mid-2000s, with one of his earliest roles being in the 2004 Studio Ghibli film Howl's Moving Castle. This marked the beginning of a recurring collaboration with the studio, as he also contributed to the films Tales from Earthsea in 2006 and From Up on Poppy Hill in 2011.
Tanaka's first major television anime role came in 2008 when he was cast as the enigmatic character Bruno, also known as Antinomy, in the popular series Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. This role is often cited as a significant point in his career, raising his profile among anime fans. In 2009, he voiced the character Atsushi in the anime series Examurai Sengoku, a project based on the Japanese song and dance collective Exile. His other roles from this period include parts in Golgo 13 and Hello Anne: Before Green Gables.
Beyond animation, Tanaka has also worked in video game voice acting. He voiced a soldier character in the Japanese version of the acclaimed game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
