The voice actor known as Coon is a Japanese female artist born on July 22, 1981, in Osaka Prefecture. Her real name is Ayumi Otsu, and she has also performed under the names Ayumi Otsu, Kiko, and her birth name, Takako Otsu. Her career began in music; she started composing songs at the age of fifteen and moved from Osaka to Tokyo at twenty-one after her demo tape caught attention. Initially, she performed live in clubs and on the streets, which led to her major debut in February 2007 under the name Takako Otsu with Universal J, releasing two singles.

Her entry into voice acting began in 2008 when her voice and character caught the attention of anime industry professionals. Adopting the stage name Coon, she started her career as a voice actor while continuing her musical activities, releasing two more singles. Her credits include a guest role as Neneko Okura in the television anime series The Girl Who Leapt Through Space (also known as Sora Kake Girl).

Beyond music and voice acting, her career has also included work as a radio personality and in stage performances. In 2014, she became a freelance artist and began using the name Kiko. During this period, she also worked as a caregiver while continuing to pursue her musical career, with her songs focusing on themes of family love.
