Jorge Roig Jr. is a prominent Mexican voice actor with a career spanning nearly five decades in the world of dubbing. He was born on September 3, 1968, into a family with a rich legacy in the industry, as the son of renowned actors Jorge Roig and Rocío Garcel. His introduction to voice acting came at the early age of five, playing in the studios while his mother worked. His first professional opportunity arose when director Narciso Busquets invited him to cover lines for a child actor, setting him on his lifelong career path.

Roig Jr. is widely recognized for his versatility across anime, animated series, and live-action dubbing. He is the voice of Leon S. Kennedy in the CGI film Resident Evil: Degeneration. In the world of sports anime, he is known for voicing the adolescent and adult versions of the protagonist Tsubasa Ozora, known as Oliver Atom, in the classic series Captain Tsubasa and its subsequent specials, following Elsa Covián who voiced the character as a child.

His filmography includes a vast array of iconic characters. In anime, his notable roles include Sorrento of Sirena and Bud of Alcor Zeta in the Knights of the Zodiac franchise, Blade in Tekkaman Blade, and Link in The Legend of Zelda animated series. He also voiced Ginzo Nakamori in Magic Kaito 1412 and has had roles in One Piece, Naruto, and Fruits Basket, among many others. In Western animation, he is remembered as the first voice of Carlos Finster in Rugrats, Sonic the Hedgehog in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and as the first voice of Fox Mulder in the Latin Spanish dub of The X-Files. He was married to voice actress Queta Calderón, with whom he had two children, Sofía Roig and Julián Roig, who have also become voice actors.
