Marta Padovan was the artistic name of Conxita Alà Miquel, a Spanish actress born in the Poblenou district of Barcelona on January 9, 1938. She passed away on September 29, 2019, at the age of 81. Her career spanned theater, television, cinema, and she was particularly renowned for her extensive work in dubbing.
In her youth, Padovan studied piano at the Conservatori Municipal de Barcelona. She began appearing in films in the late 1950s and was active in theater from the 1960s, even running her own theater company during the 1970s. Her popularity increased significantly with her roles in Catalan television series from the 1980s onwards, such as Marta sempre, Marta tothora and De professió: A.P.I., as well as later series like Nissaga de poder and Majoria absoluta.
