She trained at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon, making her professional stage debut in 1995. While her career is extensive in Portuguese film, television, and theatre, her work as a dobradora, or voice actress, constitutes a significant part of her portfolio.

In the realm of animation and dubbing, Chambel is recognized for providing the Portuguese voice for the protagonist in the anime series Reporter Blues.
