Benigashira
Description
Benigashira is a Japanese manga artist and original creator who debuted professionally in 2017. The creator first gained attention in April of that year with a work posted on Twitter titled Bishoujo Doujin Sakka to Yakuza, which was later retitled Bishoujo Doujin Sakka to Wakagashira and released as a commercial comic by Ichijinsha in October 2017. This series was serialized irregularly in the monthly magazine Monthly Comic REX from the January 2019 issue to the October 2020 issue and was compiled into five volumes.
In 2018, Benigashira released another collected work, Maou nado ga Kurokigyou no Shachou ni Naru Manga, which also originated from a Twitter post that had garnered attention.
Benigashira is best known as the original creator behind the series Salaryman ga Isekai ni Ittara Shitennou ni Natta Hanashi, known in English as Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!. The series began as an original web comic before being serialized with illustration by artist Muramitsu. The serialization launched on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website in December 2019 and is ongoing. The tankoubon volumes are published by Overlap, and the series is licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. By January 2024, the series had over 350,000 copies in circulation. An anime television series adaptation produced by Geek Toys and CompTown premiered in January 2025.
