Saya Tanaka is a Japanese voice actress from Osaka Prefecture, affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. She was born on May 17th. Tanaka is a graduate of the 33rd class of the Aoni Juku Osaka training school. In addition to her voice acting career, she holds teaching credentials for middle and high school in both Japanese language and calligraphy.

Tanaka is known for her role as Lyla Persian across multiple installments of the Sylvanian Families anime franchise. Her work in this series includes the role of Lyla in Sylvanian Families: Flare no Happy Diary and reprising the character as Lyla Persian in both Sylvanian Families Freya no Go for Dream! and Sylvanian Families Freya no Piece of Secret. Other notable anime voice roles include Yuia Aida in Mewkledreamy and Momiji Soma in Fruits Basket (2019-2020). Her extensive list of anime credits also features appearances in series such as Digimon Adventure:, Digimon Ghost Game, Golden Kamuy, Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You, The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil, and Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!.

Beyond animation, Tanaka has contributed her voice to several video games, including Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Kemono Friends 3, Gyakuten Othellonia, The Caligula Effect 2, and Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires. She is also a prolific narrator for Japanese television, providing voiceovers for popular TBS programs such as Friday Smiles, All-Star Thanksgiving, and Love It!, where she also voices the mascot character Lappy.
