Katie Pfleghar is a German actress and voice actor born on July 17, 1984, in Stuttgart, Germany. She initially pursued training in live-action performance, studying acting at the Schauspielschule Krauss in Vienna from 2003 to 2006. This education included instruction in English Drama from David Cameron and performing with the Vienna English Theatre. Following her studies, Pfleghar appeared in several German television productions and films, including roles in the ARD series Die Alpenklinik, the crime series Unschuldig, and the comedy Claudia – Das Mädchen von Kasse 1.

Alongside her on-screen work, Pfleghar built a substantial career as a voice actor, lending her voice to numerous characters in German dubs of international films and television series. Her voice acting portfolio includes a significant number of anime roles. One of her noted performances in this field is as the voice of Rika Ueda in the anime series Kämpfer and its sequel Kämpfer: Für die Liebe. Other prominent anime voice roles include Yukimura Sanada in both Samurai Girls and Samurai Bride, Emi in Super Sonico: The Animation, and Asuka in Senran Kagura.

Pfleghar's work in anime also extends to feature films. She provided the German voice for characters in several movies, such as Keno in Ame & Yuki - Die Wolfskinder, Azusa Enomoto in Detektiv Conan: Der elfte Stürmer, Maki in K-ON! - The Movie, Nina in Professor Layton und die ewige Diva, and Ayame in Rurouni Kenshin: The Motion Picture. Her career in voice acting was productive, accumulating credits for over 90 speaking roles up to 2014.

In 2014, Katie Pfleghar withdrew from her careers in both on-screen acting and voice acting. She subsequently transitioned into a new profession as a journalist.
