Ayako Ito is a Japanese female voice actor born on August 3, 1980, in Mie Prefecture, Japan. She began her career in the voice acting industry in the early 2000s, with her first credited roles appearing in 2001.

Ito's career has been primarily composed of supporting roles in a wide range of anime television series. Her early work included minor character voices in popular long-running series such as Hikaru no Go, Hajime no Ippo, and Super GALS! in 2001 and 2002. During this period, she also contributed to films like Patlabor WXIII and the OVA adaptation of the video game Memories Off.

She continued to build her filmography throughout the 2000s with guest roles in numerous series. This included episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Cyborg 009 The Cyborg Soldier, and Naruto. In 2005, she landed one of her more prominent roles as Sakuya Kazamatsuri in the television series Koi Koi Seven. That same year, she was part of the cast for Gakuen Alice. She also voiced the character Tanabe in the anime Major and its subsequent theatrical film, Major: Yūjō no Ikkyū. Among her other credited roles is the character Kuroro in the series Gokiburi-chan.

Beyond voice acting, Ito has been involved in other aspects of anime production. She performed the opening theme song and an insert song for the 2005 series Koi Koi Seven. More recently, she took on a directing role for the first time, serving as the director for the television anime Sentai Red Isekai de Bōkensha ni Naru, which began airing in 2025. Her work in the industry has also included dubbing foreign live-action projects into Japanese, such as the series Cory in the House and the film The Evil Dead.
