Yuya Miyashita

Yuya Miyashita is a Japanese musician and actor born on September 3, 1985, in Osaka Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency Yoshimoto Kogyo. His career is multifaceted, encompassing work as a singer, stage actor, and voice actor.
Miyashita first gained public attention in 2001 as a member of the boy band Run&Gun, which he joined after appearing on the audition program Study Park!!. The group debuted in July 2001 with the single Lay-Up!. During his time with Run&Gun, he also released a solo song titled Yuya no Seishun Densetsu in 2005. In 2012, he expanded his musical pursuits by becoming the drummer for the rock band 4 Strike, which was formed with several actors from the Musical: The Prince of Tennis franchise.
As a voice actor, Miyashita is most widely recognized for his leading role as Yusei Fudo in the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, which began airing in 2008. He reprised this role for the theatrical film Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time, released in 2010, which brought together protagonists from different eras of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. His filmography also includes a voice role in the anime series The Piano Forest.
In addition to his voice work, Miyashita has an extensive career in live-action stage productions. His theater credits include roles in the musical adaptations of Air Gear, where he played Puck, and Kuroshitsuji, where he played Kirito. He has also appeared in stage productions of Danganronpa. In 2020, he took on the role of Junya Kaneshiro in Persona 5: The Stage #2.
