Noemi Gifuni is an Italian voice actress and dubbing director, active in the industry since the mid-twentieth century. Born in Florence in 1936, she studied piano from a young age and began acting with the Teatro delle Fiabe at the Comunale di Florence. After completing her classical studies, she attended the Accademia di Petro Sharoff in Rome, where she graduated. Her early career included stage work with various theater companies before she won a dubbing audition for Vittorio De Sica's film Miracolo a Milano, which launched her into voice work. During the 1970s, she became a member of several prominent dubbing cooperatives, including the Cooperativa Italiana Doppiatori and the Società Attori Sincronizzatori. In the 1990s, she co-founded the dubbing company LaBiBi.it with six other partners, where she both voiced and directed dubbing for numerous films, continuing her collaboration with the company even after leaving as a partner in 2010.

Her contributions to anime and animated series are a significant part of her extensive career. She provided the Italian voice for the character Kaoruko Hanasaki in the series HeartCatch Pretty Cure!. Her other notable anime roles include voicing Raflesia in the classic series Capitan Harlock. She also lent her voice to the character Strega Medessa in La spada di King Arthur and Nonna Pookie in the Italian dub of Hey, Arnold!. Beyond voice acting, Gifuni has been highly influential as a dubbing director for anime, overseeing the Italian adaptations of major series such as Digimon Adventure, UFO Baby, and the first Pretty Cure series.

Throughout her long career, Noemi Gifuni has been recognized for her versatile voice, having dubbed numerous international stars in live-action cinema. Her filmography includes providing the Italian voice for actresses such as Ingrid Thulin, Anne Bancroft, Romy Schneider, Brenda Fricker, Angela Lansbury, Edwige Fenech, and Claudia Cardinale, among many others. Her work as a founder of LaBiBi.it and her long-standing direction of dubbing for both films and animated series highlight her as a pivotal figure in the Italian dubbing industry.
