Misaki Sekiyama

Description
Misaki Sekiyama is a Japanese voice actress and narrator affiliated with the agency 81 Produce, known for her versatile vocal range and energetic performances across anime, video games, and dubbing. She was born on February 22 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Her interest in becoming a voice actor was sparked after seeing fellow voice actor Akira Kamiya on television. She is a graduate of the Osaka branch of the 81 Actor's Studio, the training school affiliated with her agency. Sekiyama has a mezzo-soprano voice range and is proficient in the Kansai dialect, a skill she utilizes in her roles. Outside of voice acting, she is an avid fan of American-themed goods and was a member of her high school tennis club for three years.

Sekiyama began her professional career in 2004 and made her anime debut in 2005. Her first major leading role came in 2006 when she was cast as Chihaya Suzuhara in the television anime series Tona-Gura!. That same year, she also voiced the character Chie in the series Fighting Beauty Wulong, another role cited as a significant early credit. These performances helped establish her in the industry and led to a steady stream of work. Throughout her career, she has taken on a wide array of roles, demonstrating her ability to portray characters of different ages and personalities. Among her most recognized roles are Mabui in the long-running series Naruto: Shippuden, Maiko Aizawa in Nodame Cantabile, and Mitsuogi in Otome Youkai Zakuro. She also voiced Sabrina Ford in Element Hunters, the character Takuya in Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru, and held a recurring role in the anime adaptation of the popular manga Gintama, voicing several minor characters as well as a young Itou Kamotarou.

In addition to her anime work, Sekiyama has a prolific career in voice-over dubbing for foreign films and television series. Her dubbing credits include roles in major productions such as Legally Blonde 3 and the Disney film Santa Buddies. She has also lent her voice to numerous foreign animated series, providing the Japanese voice for characters in shows like Ben 10, Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, and The Replacements. Her work in video games includes voicing Mabui in the Naruto: Shippuden game adaptations and contributing additional voices for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Beyond acting, Sekiyama is an active radio personality, having hosted programs such as OBCs Voice Actor Kingdom! I Love Your Voice and FM MOOV Kobe's Sekky's Good Voice. She is also a prolific narrator for television programs, including documentary series like Sekai Fushigi Hakken! and Chikyū! Jio Gra TV. Her narration work also extends to commercials and audio books, such as the series The Moon and the Leica and the Vampire Princess.

While she has not been defined by a single recurring director or studio collaboration, her long-standing affiliation with 81 Produce has provided a stable foundation for her career. In 2012, she became the second voice for the puppet character Ralph on the television program Rank Kingdom, taking over the role due to the illness and subsequent passing of the original voice actor, Kaoru Shimamura. Sekiyama has also contributed to the music side of the industry, performing character songs for her roles. Notably, she was one of five voice actors who performed DRAMATIC☆GIRLY, the opening theme song for Tona-Gura! in 2006.
