Mário Jorge Montini was a Brazilian voice actor, director, and radio personality, considered a pioneer in the field of dubbing in his country. He began his career in radio during the 1940s, working for Rádio São Paulo, before transitioning to voice acting in 1957. Over a career that spanned six decades until his death in 2017, he lent his voice to a vast array of characters in television series, films, and animations.

Montini's voice is featured in numerous anime series and films for the Brazilian Portuguese market. Among his notable roles in this genre are Dr. Juzou Oki in the series Submarine Super 99 and Príncipe Tulipa in the film Jack and the Beanstalk. His other work in anime includes roles such as the Mountain Old Man in Arjuna, Loa in Fullmetal Alchemist, the Mayor in Gun Frontier, and the Commander in MD Geist II - Death Force. He also provided voices for the first Brazilian dubs of several Dragon Ball films, including the roles of the Turtle Hermit and Igor. His credits further include performances in series such as The Knight and the Princess, Kimba the White Lion, and Pokémon.

Beyond anime, Montini's career was marked by a wide range of iconic characters. He was the voice of characters like Popeye, Dr. Claw in Inspector Gadget, and Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. His work also encompassed live-action series, where he dubbed characters in shows such as Get Smart, Bewitched, and Zorro.

Throughout his career, Mário Jorge Montini was recognized for his contributions to Brazilian radio and dubbing. He was the recipient of three Troféus Roquette Pinto, awarded in 1955, 1956, and 1964 for his work in the industry. He passed away on May 4, 2017, at the age of 89.
