Yumi Hikita

Yumi Hikita is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with Arts Vision. She was born in Tokyo on June 2, 1965. Her real name is Inaba Yumi, and she was formerly known by the stage name Kozakura Yumi.

Hikita's career began in the early 1990s. Her early voice roles include Mirei Gyaret in the 1991 original video animation (OVA) Inferious Planet War History Gaiden: Condition Green and Natasha in the 1992 film Super Dimensional Fortress Macross II: The Movie. Throughout the decade, she appeared in a variety of anime series and OVAs. Notable roles from this period include Natsuko Masaki in the 1994 OVA Dōkyūsei: Climax, Maya in the 1994 series The Erotic Temptress, Naoko Kondo in Hyper Police (1997), and various characters in the Crayon Shin-chan films, such as a race queen in Crayon Shin-chan: Blitzkrieg! Pig's Hoof's Secret Mission (1998) and Goshogake in Crayon Shin-chan: Explosion! The Hot Spring's Feel Good Final Battle (1999).

In the 2000s, Hikita continued to build an extensive resume. She voiced the character Benizakura / Beni no Miroku in the Sakura Wars franchise, appearing in the 2000 television series Sakura Wars and the 2003 game Sakura Wars: Atsuki Chishio Ni. She was also the voice of Madeleine in the 2003 Astro Boy series and Diana in the 2006 anime Kiba. Hikita has had a long association with the Detective Conan franchise, voicing numerous minor and background characters across the television anime and films starting from the mid-1990s. Other prominent roles include Angolmois in Kuromajyo-san ga Tōru!! (2012) and Takami Renno in Detective Conan. Her work also extended to video games, such as the role of Riana Molyu in the 2006 PlayStation 2 remake of Tales of Destiny.

Beyond anime, Hikita was active in dubbing foreign films and television dramas, providing the Japanese voice for actors like Toni Collette, Meg Ryan, and Goldie Hawn. She also performed theme songs for some of the projects she worked on, including the ending theme Ai wo Subete for Condition Green and the opening theme Dreamy My Love for God Mazinger. Her work included narration for television programs and planetariums. Hikita trained at the Watanabe Music School and the Kunio Suzuki Pop School, and was previously affiliated with Production Baobab before joining Arts Vision.
