Yumi Fukamizu is a Japanese voice actress born on May 19 in Ehime Prefecture, Japan. A graduate of the Katsuta Voice Acting Academy, she began her professional career in the 1990s. She was initially affiliated with Wit Promotion and Office Kaoru and is currently represented by Production Ace. Fukamizu is a native of western Japan and is fluent in the Hiroshima dialect.

Fukamizu has built an extensive career across anime, video games, and foreign language dubbing. Her voice can be heard in a wide array of television series and original video animations (OVAs), including roles such as Kiyomi Mikawa, also known as Venus Blue, in the OVA Venus 5; Mio in The Desert Island Story XX; and Chiffone in the series MeiKing. She has also voiced characters in the OVAs Blackmail as Kaoru Yuki, Shinseki Cream Lemon as Tomoe Misaki, and Slave Sisters as Yukari Isshiki. In the 2001 television mini-series New Century Cream Lemon, she is also credited with the role of Tomoe Misaki.

Beyond these titles, her anime roles are numerous and varied, including appearances in Macross 7 as Colette, Yu Yu Hakusho as Shuichi Hatanaka, and the Slayers franchise as Paula and Mimi. She has also had roles in Cowboy Bebop, Trigun as Carol, Naruto as Haruna Hime, and Detective Conan as Keita Endo. Her work extends to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal series, where she voiced Donna or Droite.

In the realm of video games, Fukamizu has contributed her voice to several titles. Notable roles include Luna in the Brave Saga series and Ryoko Linegod in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. She has also participated in international game titles, providing Japanese voice work for Fallout 4, Watch Dogs 2, and Starfield.

Fukamizu is also highly active in the field of dubbing foreign works into Japanese. She is well-known as the long-term Japanese voice for the character Lola Bunny, starting with the film Space Jam. Her extensive dubbing credits include characters in live-action series such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, where she voiced Harmony Kendall, as well as films like Apollo 13 and Leon: The Professional. Her other dubbing work includes the series Power Rangers and Adventure Time.

Fukamizu's vocal range is suited for alto parts, allowing her to perform both mature and playful characters. Her hobbies include watching movies, and she is skilled at playing the piano. Her fluency in the Hiroshima dialect has also been a notable trait in some of her performances.
