José Méndez is a Venezuelan voice actor known for his work in Latin American Spanish dubbing for numerous anime and animated series, with a career that began in the late 1990s. He started his dubbing career at Etcétera Group, a studio in Venezuela, and his professional journey has seen him work in various locations, including Venezuela, Spain, and the United States at different points in his career.
Méndez has an extensive filmography in anime, with some of his earliest roles being in the Medabots franchise. He provided the voice for the character Spike, also known as Spyke, in both the original Medabots series from 1999 to 2000 and its sequel, Medabots Damashii, from 2000 to 2001.
