Hiromasa Tani

Description
Hiromasa Tani is an original creator and screenwriter known for his work on the anime special Super Kuma-san. His involvement in the anime industry is primarily associated with this single work, which originated from a screenplay competition.

Tani was credited as the original creator and screenwriter for Super Kuma-san, a 25-minute anime special produced by Toei Animation and released in 2003. The work was the winner of the first Animax Taisho script award in 2002, a competition organized by the anime television network Animax to discover and produce new animated works from original screenplays. The special, whose title translates to Mr. Super Bear, tells the story of a toy bear who comes to life to protect his town from crime, facing a new challenge when another living toy, a doll, appears.

In addition to his writing credit for the special, Tani also performed a voice role as Delinquent B in the same production. The kanji used for his given name, 大将, typically reads as Taishou, but he specified that the furigana, or phonetic guide, for the name should be read as Hiromasa.
