Yorie Terauchi is a Japanese actress and voice actress affiliated with the theatre company Theatre Company Subaru. She was born in Tokyo on January 29, 1953. Terauchi is a graduate of Tokyo Metropolitan Yukigaoka High School and Tamagawa University, where she studied in the Department of Arts, majoring in Theatre.
Her career began in the 1970s, spanning work in live-action television dramas, stage performances, and extensive voice work in anime and dubbing for foreign films and television series. In anime, one of her notable early roles was providing the Japanese voice of Eve in the 1997 anime series In The Beginning - The Bible Stories, an adaptation of the Old Testament produced in cooperation with Tezuka Productions. She has held recurring roles in long-running series, such as voicing the protagonist's mother, Hiroko Makunouchi, throughout the Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit) franchise. She also played Yōko Takagi's mother, Anna, in the 2016 series Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn.
In addition to these roles, Terauchi's extensive anime filmography includes guest and supporting parts in productions such as Detective Conan, The Twelve Kingdoms, Samurai Champloo, Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, Little Battlers Experience W, and Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.
