Orlando Vigiani

Description
Orlando Vigiani is a Brazilian voice actor and dubbing director with a career spanning several decades, beginning in his childhood. He was born in São Paulo on March 17, 1949. His entry into performance started early, with work in circus and theater at the age of four, followed by experience as a radio actor and singer from the age of twelve. He entered the field of dubbing as a pre-adolescent in 1961 at the GravaSon studio, which later became AIC and then BKS, marking the start of a long and prolific career in dubbing for film and television.

Viggiani is known for a large number of voice roles in animation and live-action dubbing. In anime and animated series, he voiced the character Ryu in several productions related to the Street Fighter franchise, including the Street Fighter II V anime series and the Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. His other notable roles include Franjinha in various Turma da Mônica films and specials, Jonny Quest in The New Adventures of Jonny Quest, Rattrap in Beast Wars, and Gregory in the Brazilian dubbing of Dragon Ball Z. He also provided voices for characters such as Cyborg 009 in the classic Cyborg 009 series, Bam Bam in The Flintstones: I Yabba-Dabba Do!, and Campeão in the first dubbing of the Care Bears franchise. His work extended to live-action dubbing, where he became the regular Brazilian voice for actor Michael J. Fox, most famously in the Back to the Future trilogy. A notable achievement in his career is that his voice for Marty McFly in the first Back to the Future film was reportedly selected personally by director Steven Spielberg during the dubbing process.

Throughout his career, Viggiani has been affiliated with numerous dubbing studios, including BKS, Álamo, Megassom, and Vox Mundi, where he also works as a dubbing director. In the 1980s, he was recognized as one of the most important voice actors in Brazil, particularly for children's programming. His distinctive youthful voice and ability to perform falsettos allowed him to voice a wide range of young male characters in cartoons.
