Born in Mons, Belgium, he is a graduate of the Conservatoire de Mons, where he earned first prizes in declamation and phonetics. His early career was deeply rooted in theater, where he worked as an actor, director, and professor, including serving as the artistic director of the Théâtre de l'Ancre in Charleroi. This extensive stage background led to numerous accolades, including the Ève du meilleur comédien in 1985 and the Prix Tenue de ville du meilleur comédien in 1996. He transitioned to screen acting in the early 2000s, appearing in a wide array of French and Belgian films and television series.
