She is a graduate of Sophia University, where she majored in Spanish, and she is proficient in both English and Spanish.

Ayakawa's professional career was notably centered on collaborations with the visual novel brand Nekoneko Soft. She provided voices for several key characters in their games, establishing a significant body of work within that specific niche of the industry. Her most recognized roles include Yuki Katase in the game and OVA adaptation of Mizuiro, and Setsumi in the narcissu series. She also voiced Asana Sasai in the game Silver. Her involvement with Nekoneko Soft extended beyond voice acting; she translated two English songs for their work Aka.
