Jean-François Kopf is a French actor, author, singer, and artistic director, born in 1949, who is primarily known for his extensive work in dubbing for film and animation. His career began on the stage in the early 1970s, with performances in classic and contemporary theatre productions in Paris and at the Festival d'Avignon. This theatrical foundation eventually led to a prolific career in voice acting, where he became a familiar presence in the French-language versions of numerous international films and series.

In the realm of anime, Kopf has contributed his voice to several series and films, particularly during the 1980s and 1990s. He is notably recognized for his role as Jagi, the deceitful and disfigured third Hokuto brother, in the 1986 film adaptation of Fist of the North Star, titled Ken le Survivant, le film in French. This remains one of his most well-known anime roles, a character marked by his brutality and hatred for the protagonist, Kenshiro. He is also credited with the role of Eros in the 1982 series Ochamegami Monogatari Korokoro Poron, a comedic anime about the lives of the Greek gods. Another of his anime credits includes providing a voice for the character Papa in the long-running children's series Hello Kitty's Paradise.

Beyond anime, Jean-François Kopf's dubbing career is remarkably diverse and extensive.
