Arthur Holden is a Canadian actor and writer with an extensive career in voice work for animated series and films, as well as numerous appearances in live-action television and movies. Born on August 28, 1959, in Montreal, Quebec, he has been active in the entertainment industry since 1980.
Holden is perhaps best known for his long-running role as the voice of Nigel Ratburn, the strict but well-meaning teacher, in the beloved children's series Arthur, a part he played from 1996 to 2022. His other prominent voice roles include Baba-Miao in Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat, Mayor Mallard in The Little Twins, and Mr. Larkin in the later episodes of What's With Andy?.
His extensive anime dubbing work includes the specific roles cited. He voiced the character Ben in the English adaptation of the 1976 anime series Huckleberry no Bōken, also known as Huckleberry Finn.
