Sonja Ball is a Canadian voice actress born on October 20, 1956, in Montreal, Quebec. She has built an extensive career spanning several decades, lending her voice to numerous animated series, films, video games, and commercials. She is also recognized for her singing voice, having performed theme songs for various animated programs.

Ball's voice work includes significant contributions to English dubs of anime series, particularly during the late 1980s and 1990s. In the series Huckleberry no Bōken, an anime adaptation of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, she provided the voice for the character Miss Jane Watson in the English version. She voiced the character Sura in the anime Jungle Book: Shōnen Mowgli. For the series Adventures of the Little Mermaid, Ball voiced two roles: the protagonist Marina and the sea witch Hedwig. In the anime Mori no Yōki na Kobito-tachi: Berufi to Rirubitto, also known as The Littl' Bits, she voiced the character Browniebit. Another notable anime role was Polly Esther in the English adaptation of Samurai Pizza Cats.

Beyond her work in anime, Ball is widely known for her roles in many other animated productions. She is the voice of Jane Read, Arthur's mother, on the long-running PBS children's series Arthur. She also voiced Huckle Cat in The Busy World of Richard Scarry, Nicole in various Madeline television specials, and provided the voice for the puppet character Wimzie in the children's series Wimzie's House. Her extensive filmography includes voice work in series such as The Little Flying Bears, Mona the Vampire, Dragon Hunters, and the film Pinocchio 3000.
