Heidi Weigelt is a German actress and voice actor, born on January 2, 1950, in Blumroda, Germany. She trained at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin and also studied cultural and theater sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Her career began on stage in the early 1970s at the Staatstheater Dresden, followed by extensive work as a freelance actress and television moderator in Berlin.

In the realm of anime and German voice acting, Weigelt is recognized for several prominent roles. She provided the German voice for Josephine 'Jo' Bhaer in the 1993 anime series Little Women II Jo's Boys, a role that was part of the German dub produced for the series' 1996 broadcast. Her other anime voice work includes the Queen of the Dwarfs and Snow White's Mother in The Legend of Snow White, as well as Betty Murphy in Pollyanna.

Beyond anime, Weigelt's voice is widely known to German audiences for her work in the Star Trek franchise. She is the German voice for the computer aboard the USS Voyager and Deep Space Nine, originally voiced by Majel Barrett, and has voiced numerous other characters across various Star Trek series. Her extensive voice acting credits also include dubbing the role of Gail Leery, played by Mary Margaret Humes, in the television series Dawson's Creek.

Weigelt's career as an on-screen actress has also been significant and long-running. She was a familiar face in German television, starring as Sybille 'Möhrchen' Mohr in the long-running series Hinter Gittern - Der Frauenknast from 1997 to 2007. She also appeared in the popular German soap opera Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten as Ilse Opitz in 1992 and had roles in numerous films and television productions for decades. Additionally, she was well-known to audiences in East Germany as the host of the long-running television program Der Wunschbriefkasten, which she moderated from the 1970s until 1990. Weigelt was married to her husband Werner for 52 years until his death.
