Kotoe Taichi is a Japanese actress and voice actress who began her career in the 1970s and is known for her extensive work in anime, tokusatsu, and live-action television dramas. She was born on May 17, 1951, in Saitama Prefecture, and her birth name is Noriko Kawabe. Before settling on the stage name Kotoe Taichi, she performed under the names Noriko Egawa and Saiko Egawa. She is a graduate of Tokai University and the Tokyo Broadcast Academy and is affiliated with the talent agency Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society.

Taichi is highly regarded for her distinctive mezzo-soprano voice and her versatility across different genres and character types. In anime, she is particularly recognized for her role as Sayaka Yumi in the classic super robot series Mazinger Z, where she was the third actress to voice the character, taking over from episode 67.
