Anna Marchesini was an Italian actress and voice actress, renowned for her work in comedy, theater, and dubbing. Born in Orvieto in 1953, she initially studied psychology at the Sapienza University of Rome before pursuing her passion for performance at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts, from which she graduated in 1979. Her career began on the theatrical stage, but she simultaneously established herself in the world of dubbing, providing Italian voices for numerous live-action and animated productions.

Her voice acting portfolio includes a wide range of roles in anime and animated series during the early 1980s. Among her most notable parts is the character of Jacky in the anime series Monarch: The Big Bear of Tallac, known in Italian as Jacky, l'orso del monte Tallac. She also lent her voice to characters in other series such as Supercar Gattiger, Sport Billy, and Bia – La sfida della magia. Later in her career, she provided the Italian voice for the character Yzma in Disney's The Emperor's New Groove, a role considered one of her significant achievements in animation dubbing.

Her voice acting career led to a pivotal professional collaboration. It was during a dubbing session for the anime Supercar Gattiger in 1981 that she met fellow voice actor Massimo Lopez. Together with Tullio Solenghi, they formed the renowned comedic trio Il Trio, which became a major force in Italian television and radio throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Marchesini's work as a voice actress was an integral part of her multifaceted career, which spanned theater, television, and literature until her death in 2016.
