Neil Crone is a Canadian actor and voice artist born on May 29, 1960, in Toronto, Ontario. He is recognized for his extensive work in both live-action television and film, as well as for providing voices for numerous animated series and movies. His career in voice acting is particularly notable in the realm of children's entertainment.

Before beginning his performing career, Crone studied radio and television arts at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and later earned a degree in education from the University of Toronto. He initially worked as a teacher, instructing English and drama for three years at a secondary school before transitioning to acting and comedy with Toronto's Second City Touring Company.

Crone's voice work spans several decades and includes a wide variety of characters. As specifically noted, he provided the English voice for the character Doctor Chu in the anime series Pecola, a role he played for 15 episodes from 2001 to 2003. This is one of his key credits in English dubs of animated productions.

He is perhaps best known for his long-standing association with the Thomas & Friends franchise. Crone first voiced several characters, including Gordon the Big Engine, Diesel 10, and Splatter, in the 2000 film Thomas and the Magic Railroad. He later reprised his role as Gordon for the American dub of the reboot series Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go!, which began in 2021, and its subsequent films. This recurring role demonstrates a significant and enduring collaboration within a major children's franchise.

His other extensive voice credits include roles in popular animated series such as Mr. Men and Little Miss, where he voiced multiple characters including Mr. Bump and Mr. Small; Franklin as Mr. Badger; The Magic School Bus as Mr. Flack; and Noddy as Bud Topper. He has also lent his voice to films like Care Bears: Journey to Joke-a-lot as Bidel and the Paw Patrol movie series as Tony.

In addition to his voice work, Crone has maintained a robust live-action career. He is known for his role as Fred Tupper on the sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie and as Ray Cooper in the series Really Me. His film appearances include roles in Cube 2: Hypercube, New York Minute, and the 2017 adaptation of It, in which he played Chief Borton, a role he reprised in the 2019 sequel It Chapter Two. Throughout his career, he has also worked as a writer and columnist.
