Edith Díaz was a Puerto Rican actress, dancer, and singer whose career spanned theater, film, television, and voice dubbing. She was born on October 23, 1939, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Díaz studied at the University of Puerto Rico's Río Piedras campus before moving to New York, where she furthered her training with Stella Adler and at the Actor's Studio. In the 1970s, she relocated to Los Angeles, working in numerous productions and becoming a founding member of the Screen Actors Guild's minorities committee. Díaz passed away on December 19, 2009, in North Hollywood from a cardiac arrest.

In the realm of anime voice dubbing, Díaz was known for her work on several series. She provided the voice for the dual role of Sabrina and Temple in the series Sabrina y sus amigos, which corresponds to the show Fuusen Shoujo Temple-chan. Her other notable anime voice credits included Miss Monsley in Conan, el niño del futuro (Future Boy Conan) and Doctora Sandra in El galáctico. Beyond these leading roles, she also contributed with various voices in productions such as Mazinger Z. Díaz managed a Spanish dubbing and audio post-production company called Ultra Video in Burbank with her then-husband, fellow actor and dubbing director Carlos Pontón.
